MACCS Alarm and Monitoring System
The MACCS is a versatile safety system designed to monitor both digital and analog inputs while controlling various onboard equipment. It supports up to 64 inputs/outputs, making it highly adaptable. Its 7″ color touchscreen interface offers clear, precise displays of alarms and controls, ensuring ease of operation.
The MACCS system is designed and approved to provide several essential features:
- Bilge alarm monitoring
- Technical alarm monitoring
- Tank level measurement
- Analog sensor measurement
- Control of equipment such as lighting, pumps, valves, and fans
Furthermore, it is fully configurable via a user-friendly setup menu on the touchscreen.
Display and Equipment
The MACCS system is equipped with a flush-mounted 7″ color touchscreen (MACCS_HMI) and can support two additional screens if required. This modular system consists of a central CPU module (MACCS_CPU) with 8 digital inputs, which can be expanded with up to 7 modules (or 2 modules for the 12VDC version) to reach a maximum of 64 inputs/outputs.
Inputs and Outputs
The system offers the following capabilities:
Analog Inputs:
- 8 inputs (0/10VDC or 4/20mA)
- Time delay adjustable from 0 to 180 seconds
- 4 alarm thresholds per channel
- 21-point calibration
Digital Inputs:
- 8 inputs, monitored or not, with configurable N.O./N.C.
- Time delay from 0 to 180 seconds
- Individual channel inhibition
Digital Outputs:
- 8 outputs, 1A@24VDC, with N.O. and N.C. contacts
- Time delay from 0 to 180 seconds
- Maintained or impulse operation
- Emergency manual activation via micro switches
CPU and Power Management
The centralized processor manages the inputs/outputs and provides seamless switching between main and emergency power supplies. It includes:
- 24VDC output for powering MACCS_HMI
- Two RS485 ports for external communication (NMEA or MODBUS RTU)
- 8 monitored digital inputs, 1 configurable input, and 5 integrated outputs (1 x 24VDC, 4 x digital).
This ensures reliable, efficient monitoring and control for critical ship systems.
